Chiropractic is concerned with the relationship between mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spinal column, and the patient's general health. Chiropractors aim to prevent, diagnose and treat disorders by means of a manual therapies and techniques, without prescribing any drugs or performing surgery.
Traditionally patients have resorted to chiropractic as a way to alleviate back pain, neck pain and joint problems, but more and more chiropractors have recently begun incorporating mainstream medical techniques and are often seen as primary care providers by patients for whom drug-free and surgery-free treatment is important.
